"गुरु" "गु" शब्द का अर्थ अंधकार और अज्ञान है। 'रु' शब्द अंधकार या अज्ञान के नाश का प्रतीक है। जो किसी के जीवन में अज्ञानता के अंधकार को दूर कर ज्ञान का प्रकाश फैलाता है उसे हम गुरु कहते है। ऐसी ही है हमारी गुरु - डा ज्योति प्रभा श्रीवास्तव जी, जिनको मैं नमन करता हूँ, जिनका मैं आभार प्रकट करता हूँ और जिनका मैं धन्यावाद करता हूँ। मेरी गुरु ज्ञानवान, निपुणता, विनम्रता, पुण्यात्मा, अनुशीलन, सचेतत्व और प्रसन्न रहने के साथ लोगो की निश्पच्छ भाव से सहायता करने जैसे गुणों की स्वामिनी है। जिन्होंने मुझे मेरे भीतर प्रभु का साक्षात्कार करवाया कि जो अखण्ड है, सकल ब्रह्माण्ड में समाया है, चर-अचर में तरंगित है। ईश्वर के तत्व रूप को मेरे भीतर रेकी के रूप में मुझे दर्शन कराया है, उनके द्वारा दिया गया रेकी का ज्ञान और समझ से मेरा खुद का जीवन आनंदमय, सुखमय और रोग-मुक्त हो गया है और उनके मार्ग-दर्शन से मैं लोगो को रेकी के उपचार से लाभ देने में सक्षम हो गया हूँ। उन्होंने जिस तरह से रेकी का ज्ञान दिया है और समझाया है वो अद्भुत है और निरंतर हम लोगो को नयी चीजे, तरीके बताती रहती है रेकी के उपचार को बेहतर बनाने के लिए। रेकी को सभी को अपनाना चाहिए जिससे वो खुद के जीवन में आने वाले सभी तरह के रुकावटों को दूर कर सके और स्वस्थ रख सके।
